Franklin's Zach DeLaCruz will sign with Catawba Valley CC this Thursday at 2:40 p.m. in the FHS gym lobby.

DeLaCruz averaged 15.5 points for Franklin this season - second-best on the team behind Brock Kloeppel.  Zach also contributed a team-high 5.8 rebounds per game to help push the Panthers to a 16-8 overall record. He was a 2018 Mountain 6 All-Conference selection.

When asked about what type of player Catwaba was getting with the 6'1" Panther Senior, Catawba Valley CC Head Coach Bryan Garmroth was very complimentary of DeLaCruz. "Zach is a good athlete who can really shoot the ball." he stated. Garmroth continued "He can also put the ball on the floor and score. Besides his ability to shoot, I like his strength and athleticism."

It's easy for those of us in Panther Country to see why Zach would be a good addition to the CVCC program.  We wish him the best as he continues this journey.
