Like many, you have questions about when and where your team will play in next week's tournament...or IF they will make it in at all.  Using new NCHSAA Rules, Max Prep Rankings and various projection sources; it currently looks like both the Panthers and Lady Panthers squads will be hosting at the Panther Den in the 1st Round of the NCHSAA 2A Playoffs on Tuesday Feb. 26th.

Lady Panthers captured the Mountain 6 Conference title in Brevard last night with a win over Pisgah.  This championship should catapult the Lady Panthers into the top half of the 32 team bracket.  Projections as late as a week ago had them down toward 29th. Last night's win proves to be very big for Coach Scott Hartbarger's team.

Current projections have the boys team hovering around the #15 seed and potentially hosting #18 seed Madison in 1st Round action.  Pisgah's loss last night in the championship game most likely kept the Panthers in the top half of the bracket despite their 2nd Round loss in the Mountain 6 tourney.

AGAIN, THESE ARE JUST PROJECTIONS!  THE STATE WILL RELEASE THEIR FINAL BRACKETS TOMORROW February 23rd.
